The Hayward Vari-Flo SP071621 filter head is a six-position multiport valve with 2 in. connections. It mounts on a compatible sand filter to direct filtration, backwashing and circulation functions.

Use and installation

Always stop the pump before moving the handle. Turn off the power and fully depressurize the filter according to its manual before disassembly. Install the valve with compatible seals and clamp, then check for leaks when restarting the system.
