Compare the flat filter, its part number, and its housing with your installation. The cylindrical filters used in 2022 and earlier A Series models, R Series, X Series, and STIL require a different cartridge. The Bullfrog name alone is not enough to choose the right filter.

Why keep replacement filters on hand?

A dirty filter captures impurities less effectively and can restrict water circulation. Having a supply lets you replace a worn filter without waiting for a new order. The 4-pack does not correspond to a fixed period of use: some spas use multiple filters at once.

Maintenance and installation

Inspect, clean, or replace your filters approximately every 4 weeks, or sooner if necessary, according to your spa manual. Bullfrog indicates that its current genuine Simplicity filters can be rinsed with a garden hose along the pleats. Its general guide calls for replacement no later than after 12 to 16 weeks despite cleaning; follow the schedule specific to your model.

Turn off power to the spa before removing the filter. Replace the new filter in its support according to the instructions, check that it is properly secured, then reassemble everything before restoring power. Do not operate the spa without a filter. Filtration complements disinfection and water testing.
