Balboa BP7 + TP500 Spa Control System – 4 kW Heater

The Balboa BP7 kit with TP500 keypad and 4.0 kW heater is designed to replace the control system in spas equipped with one or two pumps. Its rectangular six-button keypad features a backlit LCD screen and simple menus for accessing spa functions.

A control system to upgrade your spa

• System power supply: 220–240 V, 60 Hz only. The control box does not operate on a 120 V power supply.
• 4.0 kW heater with Balboa M7 sensing technology.
• Pump 1: one or two speeds, defaulting to two speeds.
• Pump 2: one or two speeds, or blower, depending on the selected configuration.
• Supports a dedicated circulation pump and an ozonator.
• Spa lighting control.

Compatibility and installation

The configuration must match the number of pumps, their number of speeds, and the voltage of each connected piece of equipment. Compatible equipment may be 120 V or 240 V, depending on the outputs and configuration; this does not change the 220–240 V power supply required by the control box.

For the dedicated circulation pump, allow for a minimum flow rate of 23 GPM and plumbing of at least 1 ½ in., in accordance with the requirements provided for this kit. Have a qualified person verify compatibility and perform the installation.

Replaceable components

The BP7 includes a replaceable circuit board, a quick-connect replaceable heater, and two individually replaceable sensors to simplify system maintenance.
