Why choose this winter cover?

This cover protects the pool during the cold season and helps limit the light and debris that must be removed in the spring. Securing it with water bags avoids installing permanent anchors intended for other types of covers. A complete closure, proper water balance, and the appropriate products are still required.

For rectangular in-ground pools in the available sizes. Measure the inside of the pool and check the corners, outside steps, and irregular sections. A free-form or non-standard pool may require a custom cover.

Installation and maintenance

Have suitable water bags ready for the cover’s perimeter. Center the cover, distribute the securing points, and follow the bag-filling instructions. Use bags designed for this purpose rather than bricks or blocks, which could damage the cover.

Monitor accumulated water and debris, and use a cover pump when recommended. Do not break ice on the cover or pull abruptly on a cover that is frozen in place. Clean with mild soap and allow it to dry before storing.

Winter protection and safety

The Yard Guard Deluxe is a conventional winter cover, not a safety cover. It must not support a person or animal.
